I trained under a number of Australia’s leading designer makers before attending Sturt School for Wood’s full time course in 2003.  The following year I began working as a professional designer / maker in Sydney.

My workshop is now in the Shoalhaven on the South Coast of NSW with its beautiful beaches, rivers and coastal walks which provide a welcome break when not working in the studio/workshop.

There is a place for mass produced furniture but studio furniture is designed and made for the client who is looking for that special piece of furniture which meets their requirements whether it be a specific design, particular dimensions to suit their home or office or timber species which are not available in commercial furniture. The most important role of a designer / maker is creating a design to suit the purpose and style requirements of the client. The design will determine the selection of timber and any other materials.

I am an Accredited Member of Studio Woodworkers Australia Limited – a national organisation of professional designer makers working in wood. Accreditation  is awarded after peer review to ensure that clients can be assured of the best quality in design, making and continued service.
