Most of the furniture I make is from Australian timbers because of the variety available. I also use foreign timbers.
Going through the web site, the “Kumiko” cabinet is distinctively of Japanese design which is made of Tasmanian Murtle and rice paper to provide Japanese eloquence. The carved shell is made of Australian Red Cedar for the carving quality of the timber. The Floor lamps were made from Australian “King Billy Pine” and United States “Rock Maple” to blend in with the colour of the shades.
The Apollo floor lamp is made of Wenge to provide a contrast with the white shade. The Retro Sideboard is made of Australian White Oak. The stools are made of Australian Jarrah. The ding table and chairs were made from Huon Pine and Jarrah. The Tower of Drawers is made of Tasmanian Blackwood. The writing desk was made for the owner who wanted Sycamore. The coffee table is made of New Guinea Walnut and Kauri.
The dining table and chairs were made for my family from River Red Gum which was sourced from Wentworth in far western New South Wales.
